i was just reading goat's blog ... this was the kick ass mechanic that built the short track bike:

miss bru

casey is fine. she woke up this morning talking up a storm and starving. she had two breakfasts.
took the car in today. wind noise, window rattle and rattling dash. i'm sure it'll come back no problem found. annoying. just waiting for the call to go get it. i wasn't expecting having to leave it. i wanted to go grocery shopping to get some food. lunch will be a struggle at the house.
it's raining. i didn't expect to get this much rain today. in fact, i didn't think it was suppose to rain at all.
i'm bored.

awhhh...

i'm posting from my old laptop and started browsing through pics. this was so long ago it seems!

the little bug in the corner of the couch is sick. fever of 102.1 F right now. weird. i'm keeping a close eye on her as it just seems weird to have a fever right now. i haven't heard of any bugs floating around. she's done nothing but lay on the couch all day. she hasn't eaten. only a freeze pop and water. at least she's getting some fluids. she had a good pee earlier so that's good. her temps been rising so i check occasionally to make sure she doesn't hit that 104 and then it's a call to the doc and a possible trip to the e.r. fun. hopefully it doesn't come to that. i hate when your kid's sick (obviously), but it's like you are so helpless and although they can communicate, it's not the same.
nothing much going on otherwise. i think jeremey and jerry may be making a trip down to the mesa this saturday. they've got to take care of some things down this way, so why not ride. sunday i think we need to start working on getting the upstairs cleaned up. i don't want to be too much furthur along trying to clean two upstairs bedrooms.

still nothing...

my tailbone is starting to feel better... finally. still is bothersome at times, but nowhere near the pain i was experiencing. 7 more weeks and i'll hopefully have my body back. it's hard to find things to do to pass the time. i seem to live through john's bike ridin' and racin'- where'd you go? who was there? which way did you ride it? would i have liked the course or hated it? then there's casey's activities- mainly bike riding right now, but it can be very entertaining watching her entertain herself. she's really into matchbox cars having conversations with her stuffed luigi and guido from the movie cars.
i've also passed the time by reading fellow rider/racer's blogs. glad to see jesse getting back in the swing of things. fun to see marko doing so well in the elite class at wors. jeremey's blog is always entertaining. then there's the team's site which sometimes has some great cycling and unrelated stuff going on. the wors board had some good stuff going on for a bit there. i love other people's drama.
i'm not as depressed as i thought i'd be not being able to ride. i guess my body is so miserable, the thought of riding isn't even fun. i'm hoping to be on the bike end of august. not doing much, just be on it. i'm figuring the only wors race i'll be doing is sheboygan. it's one of my faves.
john's been taking casey on pretty long bike rides. i'm jealous i can't be there with her. i have to be content with watching her go up and down the block back and forth in the evenings. it's cool, but she's pretty bored with the block having experienced electrical towers, tunnels, deers pooping, squirrels running in front of her. it's great to hear her stories when she gets back. i'll probably be drafting off of her as soon as i have the baby.

nothing much else going on, essentially just waiting.

the inevitable

first crash. nice cut on the inside of her lip and nice and swollen. lotsa blood and tears. could've been worse. she was a total trooper though. she just wouldn't let us snag a picture of her carnage...
